Several Missing Teeth - Treatment Procedure:
The course of treatment described here is one of several options available. Your dentist will advise as to what the best solution is for you, given your specific condition.

Step 1 - Before procedure:
After initial consultation an appointment is usually arranged to gather information such as x-rays and study models to give a picture of the areas where implants may be placed. A treatment plan can then be created to provide patients with one or more options for treatment. Patients will then have the opportunity to discuss these options with the treatment coordinator and will be able make informed decisions about their treatment.

Step 2 - Installing the implants:
First, the implants are installed. This is normally done in a single session. A temporary bridge may be placed at the same time, making it possible for you to function as normal almost immediately after leaving the dentist.

Step 3 - Attaching the bridge:
The implants need to integrate with the jawbone before the permanent bridge is attached. This is normally done 1-2 months after the implant installation. The time will vary, depending on the teeth affected and the aesthetic demands.

Step 4 - End result:
The new bridge will handle all the pressure that your strong, natural back teeth did. You will have a stable and secure solution that allows you to eat what you want.
